Many people at this time of the year take a look back to see the highs and lows of the year. We will do this as we will do this as well. JANUARY- When the year started, I was regularly dispatching the Sue Line. This photo is from one of those last sessions. FEBRUARY- In February, the "drone flights" were made using a selfie stick. MARCH- In March the "Jumbtron " was added to the roof of the concession stand at the softball field with the help of Geoff Bunza, the electronic wizard from Oregon. APRIL- In April, I celebrated by 69th birthday with a Sue Line Crew operating session and a special "cookie-cake" from my wonderful wife. MAY- Mose Crews took over as dispatcher for the month of May. JUNE- June saw the completion of the upgrade of the dock scene in Jeauxville thanks to the work of Sue Line Crew member David Colvin. JULY- Marvin Bennett, Jr. added the patriotic tanks for Jeauxville in July. AUGUST- Disaster hit Sue City in August as an air conditioning repair let to overflow of a catch basin and collapse of the ceiling. What a mess! SEPTEMBER- Animation came to the Sue Line with "Freddie the Forklift Driver" who moved rolls of paper around in Lake Hamilton. OCTOBER- LED lighting was added to Lake Hamilton. Thanks to the hard work of Sue Line Crew member David Colvin. NOVEMBER- The interstate bridge was completed in the Ginnings Yard area. Again thanks to the work of David Colvin. DECEMBER- The JRK grain (named fro my children- Joseph, Richard and Kathryn) in Keithville was lit with LED lights thanks to Sue Line Crew member Dillon Stokes. I hope you have enjoyed this trip back through the many highs and occasional lows of 2016. Please join us in 2017 as the adventure continues........ |
