With Richard Kamm home after the automobile accident in which he broke his neck, the
Sue Line Group was back in action. Led by
Ken Ellison (below with Train 48), himself recovering from right knee surgery, let's follow some trains.
AMTRAK TRAIN 48
Following the
Christmas Special, it was back to "usual" for Amtrak.
We first see
Train 48 at the depot in
Sue City (above).
Just south of
Sue City, we see
Train 48 at
Crawley's Ridge.
Next we see
Train 48 as it passes through
Robert's Crossing.
Here we see
Train 48 as it enters the tunnel just south of
Leming.
After a brief stop at the depot in
Maryville,
Train 48 is ready to leave.
Train 48 is seen moving through
North Park. Rail fans frequent this spot.
Train 48 passes through the woods north of Jeauxville.
Train 111, a northbound local, is sitting on the siding at
Leming as a southbound manifest freight passes by on the mainline.
Train 111 passes by the old depot in
Robert's Crossing.

TRAIN 76, A NORTHBOUND CONTAINER TRAIN.
Train 76 is initially seen near the depot in
Brandon.
Upon arrival in
Robinson,
Train 76 takes a cut of cars up the branch to
Shattuck.
The remainder of
Train 76 is still in
Robinson.
While switching,
Train 76 has cars everywhere in
Robinson.
Here we see the length of
Train 76,
as the locomotive heads out of town.
Train 76 has left
Robinson, and is seen in the south end of
Sue City.
Train 76 is leaving
Sue City.

We next see
Train 76 on the long trestle just north of
Jeauxville.
Train 76 is passing through
Jeauxville.
Train 76 is spotted in NoLaCRA Yard awaiting a new crew
to take it to Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
