April 30th- More About Maryville and 68 Years Old and a New Video

It was a landmark night for the owner of the Sue Line. He was 17 years for the fourth time (a total of 68 years.
THE PARTY-
The train room was decorated both inside above) and out (below) by my wife.

MARYVILLE- THE BACKDROP
Beginning on the north end of the backdrop in Maryville we see
the building which represents my old laboratory (above, left)
being bought out. The Associated Pathologists signs are being
removed and the SmithKlein Beecham signs are about to be mounted.
The building next door was really in downtown Shreveport.
Next is a series of five buildings all of which were in downtown Shreveport, but were named differently.
The building on the far right is W. E. Loosem, Atttorney.
Next was a set of three buildings starting with Brothers Hair Salon (above, left) and ending with Quality Cleaners (above, right). The center building has a 3-D fire escape.
Next we see Brittain's Pawn Shop (above, center) which is no longer present, but was next door to a hotel (above, right).
The building on the left has 3-D balconies and the building on the right was the old Central Fire Station which is now a museum.
This building was the old United Mercantile building which is now luxury townhouses.
These two buildings were also in downtown Shreveport, but are no longer around.
The Ogilvie Hardware store (above, left) was where by sister-in-law worked before retiring and the other building was the old Shreveport Macaroni Company. Ogilvie Hardware is now also luxury townhouses and the Shreveport Macaroni Company is being torn down.
The city ends with Daggi's (above, center) which is the old Ivan Smith Furniture Company and the Super Saver (above, right).
The last building is Leo's Whiskey Store (Liquor Up With Leo).
