August 9th- So near and yet so far away....

For almost 30 years, he lived about a block away in the Cherokee Hills Subdivision.  During that time, he had heard stories, he had heard tales and he thought about checking them out, but he didn't.

Now he is living in the Atlanta, Georgia area and was visiting this part of the country when a tip for the local hobby shop sent he out. Larry Daughtry (above), working a train in Pinecrest, had finally made it out to visit us.

Also on the mainline was Rodney Dixon (above) shown working his train in Maryville and Lake Hamilton. Where was the Maryville Operator (MOp)? Due to many "summer things" like vacations, graduations and visits, the crew was small and we rad without loval or yard operators.

Paul Harwell (above) is working his train in Pinecrest.

Rob Robbins (above)  is seen at work in Jeauxville.

Danny Garland (above) who was "Keeper of the Ring" this session,

seems to have his hands full while switching in North Park.

Ken Ellison (above) also appears to have his hands full

when we was switching North Park with his wiiThrottle.

Mose Crews (above, with back to camera)

appears to be doing something with

Danny Garland while the were both in the

Marshall and East Texas (M&ET) yard in Shreveport.
