August 1- The Sue Line Railroad as Seen by Charlie DeVillbiss-

Charlie DeVillbiss is one of the "elder statesmen" of the Sue Line Group and at one time ran a steam locomotive. This week we take a look at the railroad as Charlie DeVillbiss sees it.

Here we are looking south from the middle of Brandon. The locomotives are part of a train on the mainline, the middle track is the siding and the boxcars are on spur.

Gutierrez Yard is named for a dear friend, Keith Gutierrez of CVP.

Keithvill was name for a former member of the group- Keith Chiason.

Downtown Keithville shows Pap's Plumbing,

named after my Dad who was known as

"Pap" by all his grandchildren.

Amtrak #48 at a grade crossing just north of Brandon.

The town is named for Brandon Kamm

who is the son of my Brother Robert Kamm.

A south bound train is busy on Brandon.

The Amtrak #48 is seen just south of Robinson and just

north of Sue City. In the background you can see the uplink

tower for the local radio station KAMM 98.6 on your FM dial.

The Amtrak #48 passes truck frames in the

Shattuck-Harwell Intermodal Transfer facility in Shattuck.

The Intermodal was named for members Paul Shattuck

and Paul Harwell who also own a trucking company

known as Two Pauls Freight Movers.

A shot just north of Sue City.

The town of Sue City was named for my wife.

A shot just south of Sue City.

At the Ferne Bridge over Stone Canyon. Ferne bridge was built by

the late Malcolm Vordenbaum, a modeler and dear friend from

Wichita Falls, Texas.

A local switcher is busy in Dutchman Falls.
