April 29th- Dancing in the dark
Post date: May 02, 2010 8:55:36 PM
It was about 6:30 pm Thursday evening and the group was just starting to gather when suddenly there was a loud "pow" and we were plunged into darkness. Out local power provider had a problem and so did we......
Undaunted, Rob Robins (above left) and Jim Willis (above right) completed the installation of the last Zone Master by flashlight. Needless to say, they did not test the installation.
While holding a flashlight in your mouth is probably NOT OSHA approved, it got the job done as David Colvin (above left) and John Arnold completed the TC-64 installations in North and South Jeauxville nefore the night was over. Now there is only Richardson to be completed.
Charles Kneipp (above) continued with his re-wiring of the local turnouts. A little light from a friend and all goes well.
Mose Crews (above left), Charlie DeVillbiss (above center), and Rodney Dixon (above right) were all on hand with flashlights, but it looked more like Halloween than the end of April.
Ron Brannon (above, left), Ken Ellison (above center) and Danny Garland (above right) alos offered moral support and flashlights.
You have to know things are weird and Halloween like when even Richard Kamm (above) in not his best photo appears to offer aid and comfort. This was his last day at the ripe old age of 62 and the evening ended with a birthday celebration arranged by his loving wife, Sue- cake and all in the dark....
Next week we hope to complete the installation phase as more parts are on the way both from R-R CirKits and CVP Products. Next we face testing, testing, and more testing..
