The Sue Line Team has continued the debugging process and now we are at the point we need some true testing my OPERATING the railroad. This will be our next step.

Checking, checking and more checking was the order of the night. Danny Garland (Above left) is seen in Jeauxville testing a radio unit. Rodney Dixon (above center) is considering his options while in Dutchman Falls. And Charlie DeVilbiss (above right) is working away in Sue City.

The crews appears happy with the results of the testing. Paul Harwell (above left) is enjoying his new DCC-equiped locomotives which he had loaned to the Sue Line. Jim Willis (above center) is on break from testing is Alexandria Yard. And as usual David Colvin (above right) is happy with the results of checking under Jeauxville.

More happiness is noted on the face of Matt Tessier (above left) as he tests a radio controlled unit in Shreveport Yard. Ken Ellison (above center) is hard at work looking for any bugs or trouble spots along the way in Jeauxville. Charles Kneipp (above right) confers with Charlie DeVilbiss about a small piece of dead track. A drop lead is added and all is well.

Comings and goings-------

I understand that Dick and Karen Bronson of R-R CirKits had a trip to great California to see their daughter-in-law graduate. The time in California was excellent, but the trip back and the stay overnight at "Hotel de O'Hare" was not quite like a night with Oprah...

From what I understand, Keith Gutierrez of CVP Products will be on the road in California, Wisconsin (now why would he go there- the NMRA perhaps), Washington and then Oregon before he can rest easy at home.

I also was able to suprise my youngest son, Joe (above) this week. I can only home he has as much fun with his N-scale railroad as we are having with our HO-scale empire. Joe is the "computer brains" behind this phase of our railroading experience. Joe works for Acropolis in the St. Louis area and is an active N-scale modeler and in an active group in his area. Joe is a true blue KCS fan and also loves Amtrak. Joe is a fantastic help to me with the website and with new techniques and areas of the hobby. Joe is married to a wonder nurse, Rebecca:

Memorial Day, which falls on the last Monday of May, commemorates the men and women who died while serving in the American military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. Unofficially, at least, it marks the beginning of summer. Have a GREAT holiday, but remember those who gave their ALL that we might enjoy this weekend.
