CIC Interface Card
CIC Card:
The CIC (Colvin Interface Card - code name Ratnest) converts the 10 wire ribbon cables from the devices on the TC-64 into eight separate plant cables (an 8-wire CAT5 cables via JR-45 contactor).
The Left horizonal ribbon connector is for the unlock sensors. The is an output.
The right horizonal ribbon connector is for the toggle position sensors. This is an input.
The top vertical ribbon connector is for detector inputs 5-8 on the BOD-8, right side of the board.
The next vertical ribbon connector is for the motor drivers of Turnouts 5-8 on the SMD-8 (upper ribbon).
The next vertical ribbon connector is for detector inputs 1-4 on the BOD-8, left side of the board.
The next vertical ribbon connector is for the motor drivers of Turnouts 1-4 on the SMD-8 (lower ribbon).
Wiring for BOD-8 is as follows:
10 wire cables go down.
On left side, red wire goes to top.
On right side, the red wire goes to bottom.
In slots 2 (unlock sensors) and 3 (toggle position senors) the red wire goes to right.
On CIC red wire goes down.
Wiring for SMD-8 is 10 wire cables go up.
On device- red wires go to left.
On ASD-4 10 wire cables- black wire goes to left.
On SHC, black wire goes to left.
Each Plant Cable has the following
Turnout control
White with Brown (7) and Brown (8) to tortoise via spade lugs.
Detector Input
White with Orange (6) and White with Blue (5) to detector device via crimp on "bullet'' connectors.
Unock Control
Blue (4) is V+ (5 volts) to LED.
Green(2) is Sensor Control to LED and Toggle switch
White with Orange (3) to Toggle switch via crimp on "bullet" connector
Routinely Unused
White with Green (1) is GND and is not routinely used.
Order of outputs from CIC is
1, 2, 5, 6
3, 4, 7, 8
