Conversion Begins

Conversion from RailCommand to DCC began today.
On January 16, 2010, the first area
(I49 East Yard, I-49 West Yard and Ashby Jct.)
was tested with the SPROG II units and is almost ready for EasyDCC installation which should begin on January 21, 2010.
TRACK POWER BUS STRUCTURE:
Each section of rail is to have a connection (drop) that goes through the layout sub-roadbed board.
This will be connected to a LOCAL BUS which will be 14 Gauge Stranded Wire.
Each LOCAL BUS shall have one and only one connection to the MAIN BUS which will be 10 Gauge Stranded Wire.
For sections which are to be detected, a torroid detector will be placed over the connection from the LOCAL BUS to the MAIN BUS.
The MAIN BUS will have one and only one connection to the ZoneMaster Power Booster.
