May 5th- Lightening Strikes- Sue Line Dead for the Night

Yes, last week we had several severe thunderstorms in the Shreveport area with much rain and lightening. Apparently one of the lightening flashes got into the electrical system of the Sue Line.

The result to date- 1 command station, 4 Dual Zone Masters and 1 Single Zone Master. The computers appear to have been spared. There is some damage to the signal system, but how much is not known yest. There were no signals on all night and a number of turnouts do not work.

The end result was a lot of work trouble shooting the system, but no operating this evening.

Hopefully we will be back by next week.
