Post date: Jan 08, 2011 9:13:54 PM
This Thursday started a little different than most. At about six o'clock, a truck pulled up in the driveway, a man got out and rang the front door bell. "I guess you guys are not running tonight", he said sadly.
It was Troy Rogers (above, right) who was last here about 14 years ago when he worked for the State Fire Marshall's Office. Troy was accompanied by he goo friend Donald Boyett (above, left). Troy now works for Sperry, the rail people. They are both from Winnfield, Louisiana. Troy was update that the starting time was now 5:00 P.M. and he was happy.
Also new to thee railroad was Lionel Brangham (above, left) seen working with Ken Ellison (above, right).
Lionel who was brought out to the railroad by Rodney Dixon (above). Lionel quickly acquired the nickname "Tyco" and seens to tolerate it quite well.
Jim Willis (above) took over the Shreveport Public Belt Line for the night, while Charlie DeVillbiss (below) took on the duties of the Alex Yard Master.
Mose Crews (below) run Sue City as smooth as silk.
Danny Garland (above) continued working as the Shreveport Yard Master.
And once again, Paul Harwell (above) took on the duties of the Maryville Operator (MOp).
The mainline was full with....
Matt Tessier (above),
Ken Ellison (above),
Rob Robbins (above),
Charles Kneipp (above),
Rodney Dixon (above),
and David Colvin (above- file photo) were active most of the night.
At one time even Mose Crews was seen out on the mainline with the Sue City Turn.
And why was it so difficult to get a photo of David Colvin? When not running the main as the Maryville turn, David Colvin (below) was dispatching.
