March 8th- T5000e > T9000e

Here at the Sue Line, we are constantly looking for one thing- How do we make the railroading experience better. We went for CTC-16TM to RailcommandTM and now to EasyDccTM. We have moved from fixed throttles, to plug-in walk-about throttles, to radio remote control using mdel airplane servos, to the T9000ETM and now we are using the T5000ETM (below).

The T5000ETM is smaller, the keys are easier to use, and the display is larger and more "user-friendly". The T5000ETM is more responsive and give better control than the T9000e. Enough about hardware, let's run some trains.

MAINLINE ENGINEERS:

Danny Garland (above) the near legendary Shreveport Yard Operator,

can be seen using not his customary WiiThrottleTM, by  the T9000ETM

in North Park as he was, at least for tonight, a mainline engineer.

Marvin Bennett, Jr. (above) was also on the mainline.

Here we see Marvin Bennett, Jr. with his

north bound train about to enter Leming.

Ken Ellison (above) is switching seen his

north bound local in Robinson using the T5000ETM.

Ron Brannon (above) appears to be enjoying

himself while switching his train at Sue City.

Rodney Dixon (above) is using a T9000ETMto get his

train ready to leave from I-49 Yard in Blanchard.

Jim Willis has left his usual job as Blanchard Yard Master

 and is using the RailProTM System from Ring Engineering

to switch his train in Jeauxville.

Once again there are four throttle systems running at the same time:

too bad no one used the EasyDCCTM fixed throttle.

operate the Shreveport Public Belt in Keithville.

Charlie DeVillbiss (above) his trusty T9000ETM in hand,

was kept busy all night as the Sue City Operator.

Rob Robbins (above) used a T5000ETM. Rob Robbins can be seen

In Lake Hamilton switching The Lake Hamilton Paper Company as

the Maryville Operator (MOp).

This is the Alexandria Yard Switcher which was controlled

all evening by Richard Kamm, who was using a WiiThrottleTM.

Seen shutting down the system is David Colvin (above)

who was dispatcher for the evening.
