October 27th- Another Cool Night of Train Running

Post date: Oct 30, 2011 1:40:5 AM

The weather outside is slowly moving downward, but the action inside is plenty warm.

At the start of the evening a Dorcheat and Lake Bistineau (D&LB) units leads a local northbound thru North Park.

Rob Robbins (above) is running a Lake Hamilton Paper Company unit in Maryville as the Marville Operator (MOp) for the evening.

Charlie DeVillbiss (above) is busy as the Sue City Switcher in Sue City.

Paul Harwell (above) was busy in Keithville as the Shreveport Public Belt Operator.

Mose Crews (above) was the Shreveport Yard Master.

Jim Willis (above) kept trains moving as the Alexandria Yard Master.

Richard Kamm (above) showing resting in Leming was

actually the temporary North Park Switcher.

Charles Kneipp (above) is running a North Bound Local in Brandon.

Lionel Brangham (above) is working a South Bound Local in Leming.

Is that a steam locomotive Lionel Brangham is running?

Ken Ellison (above) was also running a North Bound Local through Brandon.

Ken Ellison also supplied all the photos for the Along the Way portion of the session.

Once again, many thanks Ken Ellison.

Ron Brannon (above) was the engineer for a South Bound Through Freight leaving North Morgan.

The dispatcher for the evening was David Colvin (above) in I-49 West Yard

using his WiThrottle to check a train after the session was completed.

SHOTS ALONG THE WAY.......

Two rail fans(above), with the assistance of a Louisiana State Trooper gets shows of a Steam Locomotive with train pulling through North Park.

A North Bound Local (above) switches a car at Crews Siding.

The Diesel Facility at Shreveport (above) looks busy.

The new offices for Wilson Meat Packing in Sue City look busy.

Trinity Grain (above) is the dominant structure in Sue City.

There are plenty of businesses open in the Keithville Industrial Park.

There is plenty of work removing the Seventh Street bridge (above)

in Shreveport from over the Sue Line Mainline.

Thing seem busy by Track 40 in Union Street Yard in Shreveport (above).

Main Street in Shreveport (above) also appears quite busy.

It looks like the bridge and groom (above) in Shreveport are not too happy.

Perhaps to destruction of their new home is the cause of their discontent.

That looks like a news crew down at the old passenger station.

Could the rumors about the return of passenger service be true?

It look like the fall corn crop near Great Bridge is about ready to harvest.
