March 11th...Out of supplies
Post date: Mar 13, 2010 11:40:50 PM
Military strategy books note that you can never advance past your supplies....We have now found that true on the Sue Line. The crew was working like a thunderstorm coming across the pains in the early spring. Zone Masters went in at Sue City, Robert's Crossing and Leming. Cables were tested and at the ready in four towns, but...
After numerous meetings, discussions and conferences such as those between members of our DCC wiring team of Jim Wiliis and Rob Robins(above left) and between David Colvin and Mose Crews (above right) of our Shreveport "degugging" team, we have come to a temporary halt.
We did have a new shipment of supplies from Karen and Dick Bronson of R-R CirKits arrive just in time to move on with the signal system installation into the towns of Crews Siding, Maryville, Ft. Barrow and Great Bridge, but as of Thursday night we have installed all the Zone Masters from CVP Products, and work on the power system installation hasnow come to a halt.
Not to be outdone, Charlie DeVillbiss (above, left) kept working on installing resistors in the LED circuits. Danny Garland was able to keep busy updating wiring (above center). And John Arnold (above left) continued to put RJ-45 connectors on cables. You just cannot keep the crew from moving forward. Thanks also goes to Matt for his installing the fixtures to complete the wiring installation.
At the end of the evening, a group meeting was held and we have elected to go back and recheck work done up to this point. Sometimes you can just be too fast for your own good.....but re-check can never hurt.
