October 7th- 3rd District Construction Begins

There has been much planning, but little building going on in the 3rd District. That changed tonight.

Under the watchful eye of Jim Willis (above, plaid shirt), a retired architect, the first two units of the 3rd District were assembled and put in place on temporary risers. Jim's work crew consisted of Paul Harwell (above, black shirt,beard), Mose Crews (above,black shirt, no beard), Danny Garland (above,red shirt, cap), Jason Busey (above, yellow shirt), and Rodney Dixon (above, red shirt, no cap) who manuvered the first two sections into place.

Here we see the beginnings of the 3rd District. The upper level will be the industrial district and the lower level will be the river district.

Having made a good beginning on the 3rd District, we then turned to running trains.....

Sue City was, as usual, in good hands, as Charlie DeVilbiss (above, black shirt) returned as the Sue City Operator. Here we see Charlie helping Rodney Dixon (above, red shirt) with some switching.

Working together is the key to the Sue Line. Here we see Jason Busey (above, yellow shirt) and Matt Tessier (above, olive shirt) woring jointly in Jeauxville.

Mose Crews (above) was in charge of Alexandria Yard.

Doran McQuery (above) running as a mainline engineer, has just brought his train into the Sjerwood/Dutchman Falls area.

Ron Brannoj (above) also on the mainline, is just about to arrive at E-B Junction just north of Maryville.

Ken Ellison (above) working as an extra board engineer, is seen in Maryville waiting for the arrival of Ron Brannon's train.

Paul Harwell (above) kept everything smooth as glass as the Maryville Operator. In the background, Ken Ellison (above, blue cap) and Rodney Dixon (above, just barely seen) discuss a run around in Leming.

Another example of team work, Jim Willis (above, plaid shirt) has just brought a train into Shreveport Yard where (Danny Garland (above, red shirt), again the Shreveport Yard Master will put it away.

Doran McQueary (above, gold shirt) and Ron Brannon (above, red shirt) are now working jointly in Jeauxville, as the night come to a close. Also usual on the Sue Line, team work starts and ends every session.
